ECOM.NYC
A local address. A wider circle.
An independent community for ecommerce across New York City’s five boroughs.
The people behind New York commerce.
Every online order has a world of work behind it: a founder making a decision, an operator solving a problem, a specialist bringing something into focus. ecom.nyc is a place to discover those businesses and connect the people around them.
We are building a local index and a journal of useful ideas. We welcome brands, retailers, operators, independent specialists and service providers, regardless of the ecommerce platform they use.
Five boroughs. Equal standing.
Our starting geography is the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. New York City is the common ground, not just a backdrop. The index starts small and will grow through research, contributions and corrections.
What belongs in the index?
An organization needs an identifiable operation in one of the five boroughs: a headquarters, office, store, studio, manufacturing site or fulfillment operation. Shipping to New York alone does not qualify. Headquarters and local retail locations are not treated as the same thing.
Listings include a public source and review date. Platform information is left unspecified when it has not been established. We do not infer a technology stack from how a website looks.
A listing is not an endorsement.
Source review means checking published information. It does not certify business quality, membership or a commercial relationship. Organizations are not charged to appear in this initial index. Any future paid placement must be clearly identified.
