How accounts, ownership claims and profile changes work on ecom.nyc.
Accounts and verification
Use an email address you control and accurate account information. Keep your password private. Email verification confirms access to that mailbox, not authority over a business.
Ownership requests
Only authorized representatives may request profile management. We review public evidence and may contact the business independently. Submitting a claim does not create editing rights. A claimed-profile label means management authority has been reviewed; it is not a quality award.
Profile changes
Approved managers may propose updates to their organization name, description, contact details, social links and logo. Changes remain private until reviewed. Editorial analysis, categories, scores, rankings and customer reviews cannot be changed through a member account. Organization-submitted descriptions are labeled separately.
Conflicts and access
Management access may be revoked when authority cannot be confirmed or information is misleading. Existing ownership is not automatically overwritten by another claim. Contact [email protected] to report an ownership dispute, request a correction or request account deletion.
Privacy and records
We store your account email and name, verification status, ownership evidence, proposed changes, consent timestamps and review decisions to operate this service. Administrators can review these records; submitted evidence is not published. Approved public profile fields become visible. Do not send credentials, identity documents or confidential customer information. Basic request metadata is used for security and rate limiting. Rejected temporary logo files are removed; request and decision history is retained for accountability unless a deletion request is approved. See our privacy notice.
Permissions
Submit only text and logos that you are authorized to provide and permit ecom.nyc to publish approved contributions on your profile. Do not impersonate another organization, manipulate reviews or submit unlawful content. Profile management does not guarantee placement, traffic or commercial results.
